Paris Saint-Germain scored six goals at Villarreal and Barcelona beat Aston Villa 3-0 on Tuesday 3 November, the first night of the Champions League's fourth round, which also brought wins for Inter, Bayern, Manchester United, Galatasaray, Sporting and LASK and a goalless draw in Bodø. Nine more games follow on Wednesday. This is what happened, and what the table looks like now.

## Villarreal 0-6 PSG

PSG, the holders, had four goals inside 17 minutes at the Estadio de la Cerámica. João Neves scored in the 9th minute, Désiré Doué in the 12th, Senny Mayulu in the 13th and Fabián Ruiz in the 17th; Ruiz added a second in the 50th minute and David Boly the sixth in the 78th, according to ESPN's match page. It was 4-0 at half-time. PSG have won all four of their league-phase games, have scored 15 goals more than they have conceded, and lead the 36-club table on 12 points. Villarreal have three points from four games and are 29th.

## Barcelona 3-0 Aston Villa

Barcelona won their third game from four at the Camp Nou. Lamine Yamal scored in the 7th minute, curling a shot into the far corner after a loose pass across Villa's own box, and Raphinha scored twice in the second half, in the 52nd minute with a deflected shot and in the 64th from a João Cancelo cross, as Sky Sports' report describes it. Leon Goretzka hit the post for Villa in the 69th minute. Unai Emery, the Villa manager, told TNT Sports that "the result is not good" and that his side "were not clinical" in the first half, as quoted by Sky Sports. Sky Sports also notes that Yamal now has 13 goals and 11 assists this season, and that this was Villa's joint-heaviest defeat in a major European competition. Barcelona are second on nine points, Villa third on the same points; both have played four.

## Feyenoord 0-3 Inter

Inter, who lost the Milan derby 3-1 on Saturday, won 3-0 in Rotterdam. They led 2-0 at half-time, according to the fixture feed used on this site, which carries the scores and half-time scores of every finished game. Our Markets piece on Tuesday morning described how Inter's price to win the game had lengthened after the derby; they won anyway. Inter have six points from four games and are 14th; Feyenoord have three and are 30th.

## Galatasaray 2-0 Stuttgart

Aleksey Batrakov scored twice in the first 15 minutes at RAMS Park in Istanbul, and Victor Osimhen played the full 90 minutes without scoring, according to Complete Sports. Galatasaray have six points from four games and are 18th; Stuttgart, who had seven points from three games, stay on seven and are tenth.

## The rest of the night

Bayern won 2-0 at Atlético Madrid with second-half goals from Lennart Karl and Konrad Laimer; Harry Kane did not score, so his run of scoring in ten Champions League games in a row ended one short of Cristiano Ronaldo's record of 11. Manchester United came from 2-0 down at half-time to beat Roma 3-2, with two late goals from Matheus Cunha, who was then sent off. Both games have their own reports on this site, linked below. Elsewhere, Sporting won 1-0 at Shakhtar Donetsk, LASK beat Slovan Bratislava 4-0 in Linz, and Bodø/Glimt and Lille drew 0-0 in Norway, according to the fixture feed. Slovan have lost all four games and have conceded 16 goals more than they have scored.

## The table after Tuesday

The league phase is a single table of 36 clubs. Each club plays eight different opponents; the top eight go straight to the last 16, places nine to 24 go into a play-off round in February, and the bottom 12 are out. After Tuesday, and with 18 clubs still to play their fourth game on Wednesday, the top eight are PSG (12 points), Barcelona, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Sporting and Betis (all nine) and Bayern (eight). Arsenal are ninth on seven and Stuttgart tenth. Manchester United are 17th on six, Atlético 22nd on four, Roma 19th on four. Liverpool, Real Madrid and Betis have played only three games and are in action on Wednesday: Liverpool at Fenerbahçe and Madrid at AEK Athens at 18:45 CET, Betis at Dortmund at 21:00 CET. Napoli, 24th on three points, go to Porto, who are 35th with no points, at 21:00 CET; Manchester City, 12th on six, go to Leipzig at the same time.

The next round is on 24 and 25 November, after the international break; Galatasaray host Aston Villa on the Tuesday, according to Complete Sports.
