How to report an error

Email editor@matchnews.news with the link to the article and what you believe is wrong. A person reads every report. If you are right, we fix it the same day where we can.

How we correct

• Errors of fact are corrected in the text, and a dated note at the foot of the article says what was changed and why.
• The article's "Updated" time changes only when the text changes.
• We do not delete articles to hide mistakes. If an article has to be withdrawn, the page says so and why.
• Prices are not corrected after the fact: a price was what it was at the time stamped on it. If a timestamp itself was wrong, that is a correction.
• A correction to an English article is carried into every translation of it.

Corrections log

• 2 November 2026, Liverpool v Arsenal preview: Fenerbahçe v Liverpool was given as 21:00 CET; it is 18:45 CET. The promised line-up update was not made before kick-off.

• 2 November 2026, Leverkusen v Stuttgart preview: Stuttgart v Werder Bremen was given as 17:30; it is 18:30 CET.

• 2 November 2026, Lazio v Cagliari preview: a one-goal handicap was called a two-goal handicap.

• 2 November 2026, January 2027 transfer window dates: the November international break was given as 9 to 19 November; it is 9 to 17.

• 2 November 2026, What the market got wrong: seven closing prices lacked their capture times; added. Lazio's closing price is 1.54 on both pages.

• 2 November 2026, three articles (Bayern drift, Newcastle v Everton, What are decimal odds) said the feed is read every 30 minutes; it is read at least once an hour.

• 1 November 2026, Milan beat Inter 3-1 in the derby and end their unbeaten start: the match was described as an afternoon game; it kicked off at 20:45 CET. Diego Moreira was called Belgian; the text now says the winger.

• 1 November 2026, Barcelona hit Alavés for six, Atlético win at Levante, Real Madrid play Sunday: one sentence gave Barcelona's goals-for-minus-against as 29 and their goal difference as +34; the figure is 34.
